An Enduring Freedom Tribute was awarded to John D. Adams, US Army (Ret) for his heroic service in the 4th Infantry Division during World War II. Adams landed with the first wave on Utah Beach with Brigadier General Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. As a Forward Observers for the 44th Field Artillery Regiment, he fought through France, Belgium and Germany, including the Battle of the Bulge with General George Patton.
